I recently had a horrible interviewing experience with a recruiter whose body language became hostile and made some comments I thought were inappropriate.
I shared those comments with an influential member of her organization that she was not aware I knew.
That person took the issue to higher ups and now the Recruiting Manager wants to talk to me about some "disconnects".
It sounds to me like he just wants to share with me how I am wrong and they are right.
None of this is sounds like its in line of my ultimate goal which was, I applied for a job and looking to either obtain a position or not.
If I am correct, how can I set the tone to ensure we keep this about my candidacy?
I am not hearing about next steps, but rather discussing "disconnects"? If its not about next steps, I seriously do not have time to deal with someone tell me I did not see or hear what I saw and heard.
Also, the email says, yeah I want to talk to you about this tomorrow whats a good phone number? That does not sound like someone who respects my time. Either he assumes I have time to speak tomorrow, which I don't or he does not really care.
I share all this because throughout my career, I have never had this experience, just seems very out of protocol.
Please advise.
