I had a brief call today saying my job offer is being rescinded due to unsatisfactory screening.

From what I was told - they were not able to confirm my employment with one company, the date of my experience was 2016-2017 instead of 2015-16, and one of my experiences on my CV was off by a month.

The company they could not verify with was a small business which is now closed. I explained this to the third party which was carrying out the background check. They have left that as unverified. However, I have offered the contact details of the person who used to own the business as well as some of the clients I worked for during my employment.

I also had a CCJ which I did not declare - its very recent and I did not declare it because I submitted a N244 form to dispute it. I did not think disputed matters would be on my record - my error! The company were okay with this clarification but the employment 'discrepancies' above made them rescind my offer.

Is there any thing I can do on the call tomorrow to clarify the misunderstanding?

I had a brief call today saying my job offer is being rescinded due to unsatisfactory screening.

From what I was told - they were not able to confirm my employment with one company, the date of my experience was 2016-2017 instead of 2015-16, and one of my experiences on my CV was off by a month.

The company they could not verify with was a small business which is now closed. I explained this to the third party which was carrying out the background check. They have left that as unverified. However, I have offered the contact details of the person who used to own the business as well as some of the clients I worked for during my employment.
