Reductionismus est ullus ex nonnullis statibus philosophicis qui tractant coniunctiones inter phaenomena vel theorias, unam ad aliam minuens ("reducens"), ratio quae "simplicior" vel "fundamentalior" habetur. Haec vox est "unus ex terminis adhibitissimis et perversissimis in lexicon philosophico."[1] Reductionismus rebus, phaenomenis, explanationibus, theoriis, et significationibus adhiberi potest.[2]
