Zaglossus robustus est species exstincta Tachyglossidarum, quae medio aevo Miocaeno (abhinc fere 13 vel 14 milliones annorum) in regione hodiernae Novae Cambriae Australis Australiae vixit.[1] Fortasse in genere Megalibgwilia includenda est. Platypus fossilis hypotheticus, Ornithorhynchus maximus, falso ex humero huius speciei excogitatus est.[2]
