I am starting a senior level perm job after 10 years of contract gigs. I may have some habits that worked in the volatile contract world that will not work in perm. Can anyone offer some tips or point to a resource for how the two types of positions differ and best practices?
I am used to "hit the ground running", "every day may be my last", "where did he go? (rapid shifts in staff/structure)" and NOT developing substantial connections in the orgs.
I know this is a huge topic. There must be a book or something? I will google but if anyone has a pointer....? Website, book? thanks

In 10 years of contracting, you must have met at least a few permanent workers and observed what they did that you didn't, right?
