Caesti sunt cirothecae quas, cum pugiles in pugilato dimicant, induantur ab ipsis. Caestus est pulvinus ut pugnatorem proteget. Autem caestus vetus fuit arma.[1] Caesti postulati sunt anno 1867 a reguliis "Marquess of Queensberry Rules"(Regulae Marchionis Queensberry).[2]
